The annual European Urology Residents Education Programme is one of the ESU’s flagship teaching programmes. It is offered exclusively for urological residents who are in their final year. The EUREP format provides a comprehensive update and overview of modern urological practice presented by a distinguished European faculty. The full six-day course includes sessions that feature state-of-the-art lectures complemented by interactive case discussions, videos, and test your knowledge segments.

Now in its second successful decade, EUREP was started by the ESU 2003 as an update and overview of modern urological practice. It has since become a much-expanded and not-to-be-missed intensive course. Since 2007 it also includes the popular hands-on training sessions. EUREP has built on its initial success, its experience and it strives to educate each coming generation of urologists.

Dear future European urologists,

The European Urology Residents Education Programme is now in its second decade of continued success as a comprehensive course for final-year residents. Since 2003, the European School of Urology (ESU) has provided European residents-in-training with this extensive multi-day programme.

The course is designed to offer a comprehensive overview of urological topics, while also allowing for a high degree of interaction. The five required modules are taught on a rotating basis, with mornings reserved for state-of-the-art lectures and afternoons filled with discussions, videos and test-your-knowledge sessions. The faculty that will teach the modules are renowned experts in their field, selected also for their teaching abilities.

Please take note of new selection criteria for EUREP, based on European Urology multiple choice questions (MCQs). As EUREP is extremely popular among residents, you can now improve your chances of taking part by earning CME credits through MCQs about certain European Urology articles. Find out more about the criteria here.

In addition to the regular programme, the EUREP also provides the opportunity for residents to hone their laparoscopic, ureteroscopic and transurethral resection skills. We are particularly grateful to Olympus, whose sponsorship of the hands-on-training (HOT) is an essential and popular part of the annual programme. The training courses are offered at various levels of expertise. With one tutor to every participant, the training sessions give each resident optimal guidance.

Please also note that as of EUREP 2015, travel costs will no longer be reimbursed. The course and accommodation will remain free of charge for European attendees. Find out more here.

We look forward to welcoming you from 4-9 September at the 13th EUREP course: where ambition meets experience.

Dear resident,

At EUREP 2015, you can look forward to an intense week of comprehensive training in urology. This will be accomplished through a fully-packed theoretical lesson schedule.

Besides these compulsory modules, we’re happy and proud to offer for the eighth year a practical "hands-on training session”, thanks to the kind support of Olympus. These sessions have always been hugely appreciated by the participants. We have 22 training stations, with an experienced tutor for each station.

Following a successful introduction in 2013, this year's programme not only consists of hands-on interaction with state-of-the-art equipment in laparoscopy, but also in ureteroscopy (URS) and transurethral resection (TUR).

On average, each trainee will have half an hour of training, and the exercises are adapted to your skill level. For the novice surgeon, the programme is more of an introduction. The more experienced trainee can learn some tips and tricks from the “veteran” tutors.

If you meet the criteria and you are selected for this unique event, make sure you get the most out of this unique opportunity to maximise your urologic knowledge and hone your hands-on-training skills.
